Rashi is a Mumbai based artist, trained at The Golden Bridge Pottery, Pondicherry and Valley School, Bangalore. Her work bridges intuitive experiences arising from within; through the relationship between inner and outer worlds, which flows into figurative sculptural and functional ceramic forms. The journey is finding integration, with inspirations from anatomical studies, temple iconology, patterns in nature, engagements with traditional crafts and impressions from spiritual practices.
She has participated in residencies and exhibited across India and internationally, such as In-Transit, collateral show at The Indian Ceramics Triennial, For Dreams at Taoxichuan Jingdezhen China, Migration(s) at Ariana Museum Geneva, Paper Clay Illuminated which toured across United States at NEHMA, Daum, Fuller Craft Museums, Porcelain India- Habitat Centre Delhi, Earth Matters- Indo Korean Centre & Lalit Kala Akademie Chennai and at Samsara, two person show and solo show Jar of asecrets at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.
Rashi is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC), NCECA Multi-Cultural Fellow and recipient of Alps Art Academy/Land Art scholarship, Switzerland. She has co-founded The Studio Potters' Market, at The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Mumbai. Rashi has taught ceramics widely and from her workspace in Mumbai- Studio Karva, since 2004.
